Who We Are

Pony Savers is an organization dedicated to improving the public awareness of the inhumane treatment of horses sent to slaughterhouses. We aim to inform the public of the brutal practices slaughterhouses employ when harvesting American horses for human consumption overseas. Pony Savers is located in Lawrence, Kansas, and is made up entirely of volunteers who share a commitment to saving neglected, abused, retired, or abandoned horses. Pony Savers' goal is to end both the inhumane transportation and slaughter of American horses, and provide a safe place where unwanted horses and other animals may retire.
